Benny is a Los Angeles-based graphic designer specializing in book design, layout, and typography. A senior at Otis College of Art and Design, she is pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Advertising and was selected as the class marshal for her graduating cohort. A first-generation college student and former high school dropout, she never envisioned pursuing higher education—but through design, she found her path. She has maintained a 3.88 GPA, earned standing honors and dean’s list recognition, and received multiple accolades for her book design work, including best book overall for SOUR: The Fermentation Publication.
Before Otis, Benny studied at Santa Barbara City College, where her work was showcased at Santa Barbara Town Hall. She was awarded one of Otis College’s top transfer scholarships based on her portfolio. Having lived in over 20 different LA neighborhoods, she has developed a deep connection to diverse communities, which informs her problem-solving, concept-driven approach to design.
Benny’s work is bold, intentional, and deeply rooted in visual storytelling. She thrives in collaborative environments and aspires to pursue an MFA in the future, with the goal of teaching and mentoring emerging designers.
